Hotkey/ keyboard short Cut to close a browser tab
Most often I feel a need to close a particular tab of my browser without using my mouse.
I was feeling good to know that there was a hot key combination or rather two hotkey combinations which would enable me to close the currently active browser tab using the keyboard.
The hot key combination is valid for all commonly used browsers such as Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome . This shortcut is Given below.
- Ctrl+w
- Ctrl+ F4
The Ctrl+w and Ctrl + F4 hotkey combination works in nearly most of the browsers for windows.
