This software allows you to extract and icon out of any Executable file. You can get your own Icon file with a .ico file extension which can be used as a custom icon for your favorite file and folder. Icon grabber is just the appropriate tool for letting you do this. 
There is one thing to note here. Icon grabber is not a free software. It can only be used for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 14 uses.
